Where and when were you born?  
I was born in the city of Anaheim, California on December 04,1978.

What is your profession?  
I am a Full-time UPS employee (Combo Position).

Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
I have been very active in sports such as baseball, softball, and basketball since the age of 6. I also became a fan of WWF and started to have a fascination for the muscle. I got involved in weight training in 2002 when my family saw an increase in my weight, I started to train with my Husband and Brother.

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
I had a goal of competing and I did, and I had no knowledge of prepping for a contest as a result I did not place, however it was the best I ever looked in my life in 2002. As a result of not placing, my love for the sport grew and I was motivated to see the beautiful Fbb’s on stage.

Can you give me your competition history?
2002- Border States----Did not place.
2003-Orange County Muscle Classic-----1st Place Unlimited Lightweight 
2005-Orange County Muscle Classic-----1st Place Unlimited Lightweight and Overall Champion
2005- NPC USA Championships---1St place Lightweight Champion

2006- NPC Nationals---2nd place Lightweight

2007- NPC Nationals---6th place Lghtweight

2008- NPC Nationals---4th place Lightweight

Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you?
The biggest contest, I would have to say is the USA’s because I never thought at almost 3 yrs of training I would be competitive at the national level, and I honestly was going to wait to compete at the USA’s in 2006 but many fans and media from the sport as well as Mr. America Terry Harris and Kim “Baby Doll Harris”, had advised me to compete this year. I listened to them and I continued to prep for the USA.

Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
I usually train M-F and on Sat and Sun I work on details I need to bring out more and work on more. I do a 45 min cardio everyday when I am preparing for a contest. When I am not training for a competition I do not look at the cardio machines and I train 3 days on and one day off and then again 3 days on and so on.

What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
I like them all, the ones I hated I learned to love them because in the end result they all work.

Which body part is your best in your opinion?
Umm! I guess I would say my legs.

If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)?
As of right now, my biceps measure 13 inches, Legs 22 inches, Calves 14 inches
Best lifts: Bench Press 215, Squat 225, and Dead Lift 225

What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'?
During competition training I enjoy seeing the changes in my body such as the the tone and definition I start to see and from week to week I become more lean and the body fat drops. The off season is enjoyable to me because I can eat what I was craving and I go down the list of my cravings and have a serving of it.

Please describe a typical day in the life of Barbara Fletcher.
Get up 2am eat. Got to work from 3am to 1:30pm, I usually eat at my breaks and lunches at work. 1:30 -3:30 I nap. I wake up eat and get ready to train at 4:30. After train post work out shake. Then come home to eat dinner and get ready to go to bed.

Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.)
Every time after a contest I take time away from the gym so I can let my body rest. I usually go to the movies, spend quality time with my family and go camping, to the river and go to travelling with my husband.

What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle?
I like how people young and old that understand the lifestyle appreciate us. I like being a role model for younger girls and say its ok to be involved with your physical appearance. Nowadays, the increase in obesity is at its all time high and we female bodybuilders need to be a positive icon to the younger generation.

Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
I put all my faith in God and I believe Jesus Christ died for our sins.

What are your competition goals or personal future goals?
My goal is to become a Professional Female Bodybuilder. As far as my personal future goals I will continue to admit I am a sinner who sins every day however I am a sinner who is saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
